Mitch and I attended the same high school a few years apart but we didn’t really meet until the Fall of 2014. We were at a mutual friend's house, and spent hours talking that first evening. I was set to return to school an hour and a half away from where Mitch lived in the coming days and when he abruptly left that first night I thought that would be the end of it. However, the next day Mitch added me on Facebook, asked me on a date and we've been talking for hours every day since.
Our dating began long distance so we really got to know each other over the phone. After months of FaceTime calls and weekend visits we decided to make it official. Mitch pulled off a surprise proposal up the canyon a few miles from my family’s home.
I was so surprised, delighted and peaceful because I knew whatever we had in front of us we would tackle it together and always be on the same team. We got married on June 24th 2015 in the Salt Lake City, Ut Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. The day was filled with family and friends, good food, cake (one of the best parts about any wedding), and the peace of starting our lives together.
Marriage isn't always easy. We are imperfect people. But we continue to choose to grow in understanding and in love together. We believe that it is important that our children grow up knowing that we love them, we love each other and that we love God.

Mitch- in the words of Abby:
Mitch and I are opposites. Mitch is a very even keeled person who steadies my natural highs and lows. He calms me down and I like to think that I add some spunk to his life. When I first think of Mitch I think of his goodness. He is kind, loving and would do anything to make those around him happy. He loves spending time outdoors and with those he loves. Mitch is my best friend and I couldn't imagine my life without him.
Abby- in the words of mitch
When I think of Abby, I think of fun. Abby is always searching for something fun to do and loves to experience it with others. Abby is a family person. She loves spending time with family. She is a great friend and is often thinking of others. Abby makes sure that we experience joy and satisfaction in life. She makes me very happy and I am very grateful for her.
